The biggest, annual VATSIM event in Austria is around the corner: Finally Austria 2018! On Saturday, the 17th November from 07:00z until 23:00z all of Austria will be fully lit up on the VATSIM network. We will be providing FULL ATC for 16 hours – live from one location! Vienna (LOWW), Innsbruck (LOWI), Salzburg (LOWS), Graz (LOWG), Linz (LOWL) and Klagenfurt (LOWK) will be staffed the entire day! This day gives you the opportunity to fly to one of our 6 civil airports without any time stress. Enjoy your flights without any hurry! Have a good time in our unique airspace above the alps and challenge yourself with another tricky approach. VFR or IFR, Piper or Airbus – we are looking forward to a warm: “Wien Radar, identified!”

    Vágar Release Event

    until
25 November from 17-21z Vatsim-Scandinavia wants to welcome all pilots for a fun and challenging evening at Faroe Island and Vágar Airport. With this fly-in we are also celebrating that scenery developer MK Studios has released their new Vágar airport scenery. One lucky pilot participating will win a copy of the new scenery, so this is an event that you don't want to miss. This airport and airspace is a bit different from others, it's located within Oceanic airspace and is an AFIS airport. Please read our pilot briefing if you are unfamiliar with oceanic procedures and AFIS-airports. In addition with Vágar, our controllers will staff Copenhagen and Keflavik giving you an excellent opportunity to have full ATC from departure until landing. We hope to see you flying in and out from the Faroe Island on Sunday 25 November. Briefing | Charts | New Scenery from MK Studios

    Fly and See Santa 2018

    until
On Saturday 15 December from 17-23z VATSIM-Scandinavia invites you for this year's edition of Fly and See Santa. Apart from staffing Tromsø (ENTC) and Rovaniemi (EFRO) for the evening we are also introducing a new airport, Kiruna (ESNQ) which we hope you will enjoy visiting as well. Since this event attracts a fair amount of pilots we highly recommend you to bring a lot of holding fuel. Don't forget your favorite bevarage and candy onboard since it will most likely be a long night for you. Make sure you DO NOT take advantage of the Free Route Airspace, DO NOT file any DCT routings. Due to the excess traffic on some airways you might get rerouted to optimise the traffic flow. Make sure you are familiar to reprogram your aircraft accordingly. Visit our Santa Web for pilot briefing, charts and scenery suggestion to make your visit to the north as enjoyable as possible. VATSIM-Scandinavia hope you will enjoy this year's Fly and See Santa. Santa Web Merry Christmas!
