  1. [APPOINTMENT] Training Director ACCSCA2

Aaaaaah Grattis, Arvid pal! Enjoy your amazing position as ATC-TD!

Takk

@Magnus Gustafsson, I believe new rules have to go through Board? And again - streaming ISN'T against the VATSIM Code of Conduct, and you can't make it illegal within VATSIM Scandinavia(?)

If a controller is to put "noob" in the scratchpad, that is the ATCOs fault himself and should be kept responsible for that (i.e. CoC A1). As Arvid says, what you're mentioning is not strictly related to this specific discussion, even though I could probably speak on behalf of the entire VATSIM community that we agree with you, Mathias! The point here is that there are nothing stopping one individual recording and/or streaming an ATC channel, as it's a publicly available channel for everyone who wants to listen in (provided that they are a member of VATSIM, of course). Magnus, on the other hand, says it's not allowed and that we should stick to his 'advise' about NOT doing it. It's not specifically mentioned in the VATSIM Code of Conduct as far as I'm aware of, and your interpretation is rather off course as it does not relate to CoC A1, A11, A12 nor A13(?). If I've missed something, please enlighten me...

    +1, pal!

Fair enough, though I strongly disagree with you as the FREQUENCY chat box should be used for phraseology and frequency-related materials only - therefore no violation of privacy is taken place. I do, however, agree with you when speaking about PRIVATE conversations between controllers/pilots - yes, but an official frequency channel, no way!

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but other than what's mentioned in VATSIM Code of Conduct A1, A11, A12 and A13, there are no such rule of not showing the chat box. In conclusion, as far as I know, there is no need to hide the chat box (other than private chats with other members). As you say, Magnus, "otherwise violate the legal rights of others, including expectations to the rights of privacy and publicity", I don't think it's considered to be a violation of the code of conduct to show the Euroscope chat box window and/or Pilot client chat window, as pilots may be TEXT on VATSIM.
  8. WISH LIST TO OUR WEB/SERVER DEPARTMENT

    True... my bad!
  9. WISH LIST TO OUR WEB/SERVER DEPARTMENT

Well we have VAT-spy for that A better, more complex and organized training system (which runs thorough a website, like VATSIM UK's RTS system).
