Repetitive Event: every Tuesday

ZURI-NIGHT-fly-utc+2.jpg

Welcome to the Zurich Night, the weekly onlineday of Switzerlands major airport! Every Tuesday from 1730z to 2030z, expect full staffing, professional and friendly ATC service and plenty of traffic.

Enjoy one of total 4 IFR approaches or get yourself a spot as a small VFR aircraft between the big birds. VFR flights are still performed regularly despite the airport's size. This makes flying VFR to/from Zurich extremely interesting, but it's also a huge challenge which requires careful preparation. A lot of small airfields in the vicinity offer numerous possibilities for short VFR hops.

Zurich is a unique airport with a lot of operational restrictions due to noise abatement and its challenging layout. We know it by heart and love this airport with all its rough edges and we are sure you're gonna love it as well!

Join our frequencies every Tuesday evening and enjoy!

Next event: 29th December 2017

LSGG-1by1-UTC+1-FLY.png

Last Friday night of the month? Put your kids to bed or place them in the right seat and start your engines, as vACC Switzerland launches the latest addition to its event catalogue at Geneva International Airport (LSGG).
With a single concrete runway, controllers face the challenge of getting the timing just right, in order to clear you to land just seconds after departing traffic’s gear has left the ground. Needless to say, expect late landing clearances.

Waiting at the holding point? Get ready to line up behind landing traffic or execute a rolling takeoff, for there is bound to be traffic on final awaiting that late landing clearance.

We are up for the challenge, fully staffed and ready to get you in and out safely, one by one. Look out for the chain of landing lights on the ILS in Geneva, every last Friday of the month from 1900z to 2100z.

Thats now possible every second Thursday of the month from 18-20z with full ATC. vACC Switzerland and RG Frankfurt are proudly presenting the monthly connection between Stuttgart (EDDS) and Geneva (LSGG).

We may not be quite sure about the weather forecast for this sunday evening, but we are quite sure, that things will get really sweaty for out colleague Ondrej Penicka, as he will be passing his controller practical test at Brno (LKTB).  So, let’s give this small city a massive load of traffic and help Ondrej prove that he fully deserves his Tower rating.

On Sunday 12th November from 19z you can expect fully staffed LKPR & LKTB. We are looking forward to see you in the skies.

Dear pilots, Belux vACC wishes to invite you all to come and enjoy the Sunday evening at Brussels. We will be fully staffed on July the 8th from 18z until 21z. All kinds of traffic, ranging from passenger flights to VFR flights, are welcome.

Charts can be found here. Pilot information can be found here. We strongly urge pilots to read the pilot briefing before starting a flight, as it will ease the work of the controllers and allow for swift ATC service for the pilot. See you soon in the Belgian skies!

Have you ever....

...dreamed of ATC all day long?
...wished to have controllers guiding you on early morning approaches while the sun is rising?
...wanted to fly a four leg rotation with guaranteed service on your departure and arrival?
...hoped to get a whole day of ATC as real as it gets?
We make it happen! Zurich Airport will be open on July 21st during the real operating hours!

Be the first one to touch down as IFR-traffic on runway 34 at 0605 local time. Long haul inbounds arriving within the first hour will enjoy iStream tactical steering to guarantee an optimum approach sequence. If early, join the holding until we are allowed to let you approach the airport.

As VFR traffic, explore the beautiful mountaineous Swiss landscape just minutes south of Zurich. Fly to Samedan for a delicious nut cake at  the highest airliner airport in Europe and enjoy the breathtaking view  of the alps. When returning, be prepared to get close to the big birds! Zurich still handles both, VFR and IFR traffic, unlike other European majors.

Zurich is a unique airport with a lot of operational restrictions due to noise abatement and its challenging layout. We know it by heart and love this airport with all its rough edges.

Be part of the experience and let Zurich come to life for a whole day on July 21st from 0400 to 2130z!
