Dear VATSIM Scandinavia Members
The Pilot Training Department has undergone quite a few changes in recent weeks, some of them significant. You have waited patiently, and now the wait is finally over—we are reopening practical training!
Also we are looking for flight instructors for our training bases. The requirements are as follows:
- A minimum of 200 hours of experience as a pilot on the VATSIM network.
- A positive, proactive, and active approach to training.
- Holding at least a P1 rating.
- Knowledge of local procedures and regulations at their assigned training base.
- A generally encouraging and supportive attitude within the network.
A real-world pilot's license or training is not required for this VATSIM Scandinavia flight instructor position, but it is considered an advantage.
New Training Bases
As you may have noticed, I referred to our training bases in plural. I am pleased to announce the opening of new pilot training bases in the following countries, in addition to Finland:
🇸🇪 Sweden: ESOK and ESOH – Head Instructor: Johan Sjolin
🇳🇴 Norway: ENBR and ENLI – Head Instructor: Herman Kaldheim
🇫🇮 Finland: EFTP and EFKA (New) – Head Instructor: Arttu Uusi-Kyyny
for those students who are started their training and passed theoretical exam contact me via email or discord if want to change training country for some of these new bases.
