Dear VATSIM Scandinavia members.
After much reflection I have decided to step down from my position as vACC Director. This has not been an easy decision, but over time I have found that I have lost the joy and motivation that once drove me in this role.
Throughout my time I have done my best to serve our community and guide our vACC forward. However it has become clear that there are differing views on the direction we should take, and I have also felt a growing sense of distrust from parts of the staff team. These challenges has made it increasingly difficult to find fulfillment and enjoyment in continuing as Director. Therefore I hope to see another pick up the reins.
I want to thank everyone I have had the pleasure of working with, both staff and members, for their dedication, passion, and contributions to our community. Despite the challenges, I am proud of what we have achieved together, although much is left on the drawing board.
The task of the Director as stated in the constitution:
The work in VACCSCA is led by the director. The director represents the organization towards its parent and other organizations. The director has the overall responsibility for all subordinated areas and the main responsibility for all areas not covered by any other staff position. It is the Directors responsibility to see to that staff-positions are manned.
Minimum requirements:
VATSIM Permanent Controller rating of 'Controller' [C1].
Must be approved by VATEUD.
Member of VATSIM Scandinavia for at least one year.
You are expected to be able to commit 2 years to this role.

I will ensure a smooth transition for my successor but I am leaving the chair empty until then. Therefore, per the constitution, the Board will choose one amongst them as a stand-in until the election has been completed.
