Yesterday, I have received and accepted the resignation of @Richard (1460595) . Richard will be focusing on his family and daily job. I want to extend my thanks to Richard for his hard work and dedication to the VATSIM Scandinavia Board.
Richard will stay in the position until a replacement is found.
We are now looking for a FIR Director in Finland.
Duties are:
• Collaborate closely with other FIR Directors and report directly to the vACC Director.
• Develop and enforce rules and regulations to enhance the online experience specific to each country.
• Continuously monitor and update ATC operational procedures to enhance the virtual online environment for each respective country.
• Coordinate closely with the Training Director to establish and monitor training standards for both new and existing VATSIM Scandinavia members.
• Perform and delegate tasks within the country to staff and other members as deemed necessary.
• Perform conflict resolution within their respective FIR and escalate to the Board if necessary.
• Handle any case regarding under-performing students and/or currency/competency in collaboration with the Training Director
• Support the vACC Director and aid assistance as needed in their responsibilities.
• If the vACC Director is on leave, continue his or her work until the Director returns.
• If the vACC Director is removed, resigns or if he or she becomes unexpectedly and permanently absent, form a temporary Board until a new Director has been elected.
Minimum requirements:
VATSIM Permanent Controller rating of 'Senior Student' [S3]
Member of VATSIM Scandinavia for at least one month.
You are expected to be able to commit 1-2 years to this role.
